When employees spend a great deal of work time each day searching for the required functions on the printer, elaborately programming the device and then waiting for the printouts, it is not only tedious for them, it is also economically inefficient. With the MX-4112N/NA and the MX 5112N/NA, Sharp is now presenting four new MFPs, which are not only attractive due to their innovating operation and personalisation options, but also thanks to their increased printing speed (41 or 51 pages/minute, respectively). ‘We are completing our line-up with the new models, and now offer the right device for every requirement’, explains Torsten Bechler, information systems product manager at Sharp Electronics Germany/Austria. ‘A feature that all MFPs in the product family have in common is that they are extremely easy and intuitive to operate and are particularly environmentally friendly. The three models from the series which are already on the market are so low in emissions and easy on resources that they were recently awarded the worldwide recognised Blue Angel environmental label.’
Intuitive operation
The devices are child’s play to control, thanks to a 25.6 cm LCD touchscreen. The operating field is large enough to display lengthy texts much more clearly and can be pivoted so that people in wheelchairs can view it comfortably. Thanks to the touchscreen, all digital documents can easily be controlled with a sweep or touch of the finger. This makes it possible, for example, to display all pages as an individual page, in 3D or in thumbnail mode, and then rotate them, put them in a different order, add or delete pages and print them out, save them or distribute them as required – all just by touching the screen. The quality check and adaptation of the scanned documents directly on the device prevent improper copies and scans and eliminate the need to make two trips between the workstation and the MFP, thus increasing all employees’ efficiency.
Intelligent energy concept
The entire MFP series’ optimised energy saving management reduces energy costs without any extra effort from the user. The devices thus adapt automatically to the company’s biorhythms by analysing when they are used for the first time in the morning and for the last time in the evening. They also save peak times during which a particularly large number of printing and scanning tasks are handled, or times of lower use, such as lunch breaks. The eco-scan function ensures that the fuser unit remains off when tasks which do not require printing are being carried out, which also reduces energy consumption. The devices additionally save power thanks to the short warm-up period of under 34 seconds (MX-5112N/NA) or 30 seconds (MX-4112N/NA). The extremely low toner consumption and long-lasting drum round out the exemplary energy concept.
Large selection for increased productivity
The Sharp MX series’ line-up is completed by the new MFPs and thus offers the ideal device for any company and any user. The time-saving DSPF feeder, the high printing speed of 51 pages/minute in colour and black and white, as well as the high scanning speed of 75 originals/minute (A4, black and white) and the short initial copy time of 5.7 seconds make the MX-5112N the fastest device in the MX family. With printing speeds of 26 pages/minute to 41 pages/minute, the other family members are also real workhorses. Their high scanning speeds and low initial copy times also make them attractive.
